The Government College, Gosaikheda established as a model college by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the Government of India sponsored Scheme RUSA (Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan) to provide access to the underprivileged students of unserved and underserved rural areas of district Unnao.

The college is located at the village Gosaikheda of Purwa Tehsil ( 26°35'1" N longitude and 80°47'56" E latitude ) near Gramin Nagar Stadium. It is 12 km east of Bhalla Farms, Nawabganj on Lucknow- Kanpur Highway (NH- 25) towards Kalukheda Road. Nearest Railway station is Ajgain, Unnao.

Spread in 1.265 hectare with built up area ----- have three building complexes viz. administrative cum academic building, boy's hostel and girl's hostel. The College is affiliated to Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur providing education to the Undergraduate students in the faculty of Arts, Science and Commerce. Classes of first batch (academic session 2016- 17) commenced from July, 2017.The college is under the process of development with commitment to provide various co-curricular activities like N.C.C., Rowers/Rangers, N.S.S., Games, Yoga and computer lab facilities for skill training programs.
